The picture at the right lets you see the slender
stems of the Campernelle as compared to the heavier and wider stems of a Sir
Watkin in the foreground. (Yes, a few naughty Campernelle have jumped out of the
bed, but the bulbs are easy to tell apart when they are mature!) This are
very delicate and a very early bloomer. We see them open in late January/mid
February here. |
